JCPS Reconciliation Plan

Over the past four years our preschool has been working hard with our educators and our community to incorporate the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures into our program naturally. We want to be able to have honest and open communication with the children about Australian Culture and how they as individuals can help to make a difference by embracing and loving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples for who they are and where they have been.

Our goal is to continue to educate our educators on how to have the difficult conversations and how to naturally promote the Aboriginal culture into our daily engagements with not only the children but also their families. We also want to try to still connect with the Awabakal people even though it has been a challenge with COVID, we still want to keep trying as we value their continuation to our learning.
