Jesmond Community Preschool is a small centre that caters for the local community and families. We are a government funded, not for profit organisation that caters for 39 children, aged 3-6yrs, Monday to Friday, 8am until 3.30pm.

We pride ourselves on creating an environment that stimulates learning through meaningful participation in experiences. Our Centre values the uniqueness of each child and our staff work towards developing each child to his/her maximum potential, acknowledging that each child is unique, capable and strong.

Preschool hours are Monday – Friday: 8.00am – 3.30pm.
We are closed Public Holidays and NSW Public School Holidays.
Haylee Taylor is the Director of Jesmond Community Preschool. Haylee holds a Bachelor of Teaching (0-5 years) and a Bachelor of Education (0-5years). Haylee has a sound knowledge and awareness towards the importance of valuing the children's voices within the program, and is committed to creating a welcoming environment that embraces each child's potential.
Jasmine, our dedicated Assistant Director has over 5 years of experience in early education. As a Teaching Assistant Director, she is deeply passionate about elevating our educational program to new heights. Jasmine's commitment as Educational Leader ensures a nurturing and enriching environment for all.
The staff at Jesmond Community Preschool are dedicated to providing a nurturing environment that helps to develop our children socially, emotionally, spirituality, intellectually and physically. Each member of our staff has extensive experience and relevant qualifications in early childhood education.

As a community-based service, Jesmond Community Preschool is governed by a Management Committee elected during the preschool's Annual General Meeting. The role of the Committee is to determine the service’s mission and purpose and set the strategic direction of the service. The Management Committee work in collaboration with the Director and staff to ensure the delivery of a quality service that meets the needs of the children while meeting the standards outlined by regulatory agencies. Members of the Management Committee co-ordinate fundraising activities throughout the year to help the service raise funds to purchase additional resources.

In addition to documenting fee relief under Section 4.2. Fee Relief Payment spending rules, the provider is encouraged to publicly acknowledge the funding received through Start Strong and fee relief provided to the families of eligible children with the following statement:
“This service is a recipient of funding under the NSW Department of Education's Start Strong for Community Preschools program and fee relief is available for families of eligible children."
Such acknowledgement may be included in a regular newsletter or an annual report.
To receive all program related communication, the provider's SP-Admin account holder must maintain up-to-date contact details in ECCMS. The changes can be completed in the Main Service Provider page. Providers should ensure service and other details are up to date. This includes details on the Main Details, Contacts and Address tabs.
